Diana Vieira da Silva

Description

Diana Vieira-da-Silva is a Doctoral Student at the Institute for Research in Design, Media, and Culture (ID+), an association between the University of Porto, and the University of Aveiro. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 2010. Diana developed her professional practice as an architect, designer, consultant, and creative director. She is co-author of the book “Posters of a Doctorate - PhD Design 2016_2023+”, coordinated by Heitor Alvelos (2023) and published by ID+, which aims to contribute to better scientific communication in other research areas.

Since 2008 Diana has been responsible for several architectural projects, both commercial and residential. She was Head of Design and Creative Director for Monseo Jewels, working extensively on product design, strategic design, creative direction, and brand management, having won the 2017 Golden A'Design Award. Between 2017 and 2018 Diana provided consultancy in the program 'SME Training' for the Digital Economy promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AEP), Centro de Formação Profissional da Indústria de Ourivesaria e Relojoaria (CINDOR), and Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association (AORP).
