Fraser McBlane is a Director in PK Sciences at Novartis Biomedical Research in Basel. He obtained his PhD from Kings College London and did postdoctoral work at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland, USA. He was a group leader at the Basel Institute of Immunology and Director of Molecular Immunology at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. Since joining Novartis, Fraser has provided strategic and scientific bioanalytical input to the preclinical and clinical development of novel biologics, CAR-T cell therapies, gene editing programs and AAV gene therapies. He represents Novartis in the Innovative Medicines Initiative of the European Union (ardat.org) and the IQ Consortium for Advanced Therapies.
