Following a veterinary degree received from the Veterinary School of Lyon, France, in 2002,  Dr Elodie Drevon-Gaillot completed there her pathology residency and became ECVP board-certified in 2009. She held positions as junior pathologist at MDS Pharma Service and Ricerca Biosciences (Lyon, France). In 2007 she was granted with the ESTP Award for a First Publication about background pathology of nonhuman primate.

From 2013 to 2018 she acted as a senior pathologist specialized in the safety evaluation of Medical Devices at NAMSA. She gave medical device-related lectures at the Paris Sorbonne University between 2019 and 2022 and participated in the 2023 edition of the Haschek and Rousseaux's Handbook of Toxicologic Pathology (medical device chapter).

In 2018 she joined Charles River Laboratories Lyon (France) where she took a position of Associate Director of the Pathology in 2023. Dr Drevon-Gaillot is implied in several Scientific Societies, among which the French Society of Toxicologic Pathology and acting as the current secretary since 2020.
