Valentina Zappulli was born in Milano (MI), Italy, and studied veterinary medicine in Torino, Italy, before moving to Scotland for one year for a Master Course and then to Padua for her PhD (2000-2004). She is ECVP diplomate since 2009. She is now Full professor of Veterinary Pathology in Padua University and she directs a Master Course in Veterinary Pathology.
She is also co-founder of the Italian Society of Extracellular Vesicles born in 2018 and she has been a Full bright research Scholar in 2015-2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School (MA, USA) to study cancer. Since the beginning of her career, she has been studying mammary cancer in dogs and cats with a specific focus on morphological classification and phenotypic/prognostic markers. She has been collaborating with experienced national and international colleagues performing also ring studies and recently proposing a diagnostic algorithm for mammary tumors.
