Dr. Silvia Benali graduate in 2009 in Veterinary Medicine (Università degli Studi di Padova). In the same institution she obtains fellowships and PhD degree in Veterinary anatomic pathology with a thesis on the progression of tubulo-interstitial damage in canine renal diseases. The PhD project has been done in cooperation with the Veterinary School of the Texas A&M University (USA).
She diplomates in 2016 at the European College of Veterinary Pathology (EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Pathology).
Since 2015 she has been working as veterinary pathologist in the private diagnostic laboratory
MYLAV-La Vallonea.
She is co-Director of the European Veterinary Renal Pathology Service (EVRPSwww.evrps.net) and member of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association – Renal Standardization Study Group (WSAVA-RSSG).
Since 2020 she is member of the Canine Leishmaniosis Working Group.
She is author and coauthor of scientific articles in international journals mostly focused on veterinary nephropathology and oncology.
