Description

Marc Aubreville holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, graduating in 2010. Following seven years of industry experience as a research and development engineer, he began his Ph.D. studies at the Pattern Recognition Lab of Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg on a part-time basis in 2016. Completing his doctoral thesis with distinction in 2020, Aubreville's work focused on computer-aided tumor diagnosis utilizing microscopy images. He then joined TH Ingolstadt as a Professor, where he worked from 2020 to 2024 and concentrated on the applications of deep learning in pathology, particularly in veterinary pathology. In 2024, Aubreville transitioned to Flensburg University. Currently, he is supervising multiple Ph.D. students and pursuing research funded by various agencies, including the German Research Foundation (DFG).
