Anna Oevermann is a board-certified veterinary pathologist (Dipl. ECVP) and Professor of Veterinary Neuropathology at the Division of Neurological Sciences (DNS, https://www.neurologicalsciences.ch/en/) at the University of Bern, where she has been based since 2006.

Her professional focus lies in advancing diagnostic neuropathology in animals and investigating the pathomechanisms of neurolisteriosis. With her research group, she also explores the development of customized Listeria monocytogenes -based vaccines. Her work is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and various private foundations. Anna is passionate about scientific collaboration and enjoys working closely with both research and clinical colleagues. She is also dedicated to teaching, sharing her expertise in veterinary neuropathology with enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate students. Outside the lab, she finds joy in music, gardening, and spending time in the mountains with her family.
