Tanasa Osborne completed her DVM at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUSVM) and a combined PhD and pathology residency training in partnership with the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland. She is certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in anatomic pathology. Tanasa joined Novartis in 2015 and is currently an Associate Director in Preclinical Safety/Translational Medicine. She serves as a target and strategy team pathologist, primarily supporting renal and ASO assets, a subject matter expert for 2-year carcinogenicity studies and Anatomic Pathology CRO liaison. Tanasa has been an active member of STP including roles on the Career Development and Outreach Committee, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee, Internet Committee, and Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) Toxicity working Group. In addition to service roles in STP, Tanasa actively engages in educational initiatives, connecting with the next generation of college and veterinary medical students through community outreach.
