Description

Jim Saul has worked as a professional statistician for over 30 years, starting out as Statistician with the Ministry of Defence, where he worked in the area of statistical modelling and forecasting for the British Army. After 2 years he moved into the pharmaceutical industry and worked for Covance, MDS and PAREXEL, working on all statistical aspects of designing, analysing, reporting and managing clinical trials. He is currently the Director and Head of the Global Statistics department at Labcorp, supporting all areas of non-clinical research. Jim received his B.Sc. in Mathematics from Leeds University, his M.Sc. in Statistics from Sheffield University and more recently completed an MBA at York St John University. Jim’s current statistical interests include carcinogenicity studies, the concept of virtual control groups and the application of new technology in pre-clinical studies. Outside of work, Jim enjoys swimming, reading and watching sport.
