Cutting edge Pathology

In 2009, representatives of the ESVP, ECVP and ESTP developed the idea to organize a joint congress under the motto "Cutting Edge Pathology". This first congress held in Uppsala, Sweden in 2011 was a huge success not only from the scientific point of view. It also provided the opportunity to network across different areas of veterinary pathology expertise which resulted in new ideas, collaborations, and personal friendships. When the respective members of the Societies and College were asked if they would like to have recurrent joint meetings, the response was overwhelming positive and since then the CEP congress has become a tradition with large F2F meetings in Berlin, Germany (2014) and Lyon, France (2017) and a congress in Torino, Italy which had to be first postponed and then recently held digitally in the sequel of the corona pandemic.

As European Societies and College with the common interest in the wide field of veterinary pathology, we aim to continue and intensify our collaboration and strengthen the interaction in the veterinary pathology community in Europe. Thereby the idea was born to create an own internet presence for the joint Cutting Edge Pathology congresses where one will find not only the information about the CEP congresses to be held every third year but also about our “in between” individual annual ESVP/ECVP meetings and ESTP congresses including registration information, scientific program, abstract submission, hotel, and travel recommendation. We are confident that sharing our resources at one place will bring additional value to our members, both in the aspect of sustainability and an easier access to information.
