Description

I obtained my veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany, where I also completed my doctoral research in the field of gastroenterology. At the Small Animal Clinic of Justus Liebig University Giessen, I pursued a residency and specializing in laboratory diagnostics. I gained my Dipl. title of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) in 2011.
Subsequently, I focused on point-of-care testing (POCT). As a scientific product manager at scil animal care company, I developed a particular interest in method validation and product development, and I greatly valued the exchange of expertise with colleagues and clients on diverse aspects of laboratory diagnostics. Teaching has consistently been a rewarding component of my professional activities, including my role as a lecturer for the Veterinary Information Network (VIN) online course on Quality Assurance in Veterinary Laboratories. Currently I am serving as Head of Pathology South Europe at Antech Diagnostics Germany, where I continue to assure that our clients requests are met in a timely and accurate manner.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I have been actively engaged in the veterinary clinical pathology community. I previously served as Chair of the Laboratory Standards Committee of the ECVCP and currently hold the position of Treasurer of the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ESVCP).
