Rose E. Raskin

Professor Emerita, Purdue University

Dr. Raskin received her DVM from Purdue University (1976) and then spent 6 years as a small animal practitioner with the next 44 years in academia. She received her PhD in pathology from Michigan State University and focused her research on canine and feline hemolymphatic neoplasms with major interest on bone marrow histopathology. As an educator, Dr. Raskin taught clinical pathology at Michigan State University, University of Florida, and Purdue University. As Professor Emerita she continues to provide locum assistance to private laboratories and veterinary institutions around the world since her retirement from Purdue University in 2014. Dr. Raskin previously served as President of the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology and received from this society their Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Raskin is co-editor of Canine and Feline Cytopathology. A Color Atlas and Interpretation, now in its fourth edition.
