Full Professor and Head of the Interdisciplinar Laboratory of Clinical Analysis of Murcia University.
His main research focuses on biomarkers of inflammation, redox-status and welfare. His is particularly interested in non-invasive biomarkers in different animal species. He is in the list of the 2% most cited scientifics in the veterinary field according to the Standford Ranking.
