Dr. Franck Chanut is Head of Toxicology Strategy & Scientific Advice at Sanofi, bringing over 20 years of expertise in drug development, preclinical safety, and pathology. He holds a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree (2002) and a master's in biotechnology (2005) from Nantes, France, and is a diplomate of both the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (2006) and the American Board of Toxicology (2016).

Since joining Sanofi in 2015, Franck has progressed from pathologist to Head of Techniques in Pathology, Head of Global Preclinical Safety Operations, and Head of Preclinical Safety R&D Projects before assuming his current global leadership role. A Fellow of the International Academy of Toxicologic Pathology, he is a passionate advocate for the 4Rs principles and toxicology paradigm shifts, championing more responsible, innovative approaches to drug development.

He has authored 25+ scientific publications, textbook chapters, and presentations, and actively contributes o several nternational collaborations and consortia.
