Description

Dr. Annette Romeike received her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover (Germany) in ‘93, completed her residency in 1996 and her ACVP board-certification in 1999. Dr. Romeike held positions as Junior pathologist at Bayer, Wuppertal (Germany) and from 1998 several positions as Pathologist, Scientific Project Lead, Global Therapeutic Area Leader (Antivirals) and Senior Director at Pfizer Global R&D in France (Amboise), before working as independent consultant in Toxicologic Pathology and Preclinical Drug Development from 2009 till 2012. She joined Labcorp in 2012 as Director of Pathology Services Europe and Toxicology, and currently holds a Senior Director role associated with the Münster Pathology team and a global Scientific Director role, focusing on nonhuman primate pathology/toxicopathology, regulatory processes and development of innovative therapies.

She has a long track record of active leadership and participation in the European Society of Toxicologic Pathology as a founding ESTP Board member, hold several councilor positions, has served as secretary (2004-2010),  ESTP president from 2010-2012, continues to chair the ESTP Committee of Regulatory & Scientific Standards and serves as ESTP liaison on the STP SRPC committee. Dr. Romeike has an active publication and presentation record, is a Fellow of the International Academy of Toxicologic Pathology and actively contributing to the IATP Webinar and IATP Education committees.
