Sebastien Monette is a veterinary pathologist with 20 years of experience in preclinical biomedical research in academia and industry. He has served as core facility head for the Tri-Institutional Laboratory of Comparative Pathology and Genetically Animal Phenotyping Service of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical College, and The Rockefeller University in New York, and currently works in Immunology, Biomedical Research, at Novartis in Basel. In these roles, he has developed expertise in the development, validation, and use of novel animal models, with a focus on genetically engineered and humanized mice. Additionally, he has investigated the impact of emerging and recently recognized pathogens of rodents on research conducted on animal models.
