Lise Bertrand is currently Director of Pathology and Digital Pathology Lead for Charles River Laboratories (Lyon, France), and Digital Pathology Councillor for the European Society of Toxicologic Pathology. After earning her veterinary degree, MSc, and completing a residency in anatomic pathology at the Veterinary School of Nantes, France, she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathology in 2011.

With over fifteen years working in non-clinical drug development, she has cultivated a specialty in digital pathology. She has been directly involved in its implementation within her company as well as cross-industry initiatives. Her current work focuses on transforming traditional workflows by integrating digital pathology and artificial intelligence into GLP and non-GLP environments.
