Uta Bussmeyer received her PhD in immunology from the University of Luebeck, Germany and worked in research at the University of Verona, Italy, and at the UTSW Medical Center in Dallas TX, USA. She entered the medical device field in 2013 managing biocompatibility studies for development projects involving coated trauma implants and combination products of medical devices with an ancillary substance. She worked for several years at a major EU Notified Body as an assessor of non-active implantable medical devices, including resorbable devices. She is currently working as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager at Merz Aesthetics GmbH Frankfurt Germany. She is specialized on EU regulatory affairs for medical devices.
